โ€œWhat first impressed me about The Rubber Thongs...once I encountered their uncanny knack for accurately channeling the entire "Echo In The Canyon" vibe...was their choice of songs to cover. This one is obscure and famous all at once. It's probably most famous for Season 3, Episode 12 of The Sopranos..."Amour Fou"...Tony's goomah, Annabella Sciorra, sort of does an impromptu post-coital strip club bump-and-grind dance for Tony when the song comes on the radio..."Oh, I love this one"...which was, of course, a sly fist-bump from series creator David Chase to Steven Van Zandt. The song was on Steven's shelved, unreleased album "Lost Boys." Chase heard it, and put it in the Sopranos episode. The song benefits from the Rubber Thongs touch. ๐Ÿ™‚โ€ ”
